The Teachers

Piano, voice and rudimentary theory are taught by Claire Caseley Smith. Claire received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from UPEI and has been teaching private music lessons in Kensington since 1998. She has also become a licensed Kindermusik educator through training received from Kindermusik International, and provides classes for children aged birth to 7 years. Claire has performed many solo voice concerts, participated in several choirs and vocal groups, and has performed on stage in several musicals. Claire provides piano instruction from beginner to advanced and vocal training in the art of healthy singing.

Guitar and bass lessons are taught by Christopher Smith. Chris received his Bachelor of Music degree from UPEI and has been teaching private music lessons in Kensington since 1998. He is the rhythm guitar player with the ECMA award winning band Este Mundo and guitarist for rock bands Seventh Stone and Crossroads. He has held many positions as an actor, session musician, recording engineer and has been part of many bands and choirs. Chris teaches all styles of guitar (from rock to classical) and electric bass.
